Environmental Solutions Sustainable Results Trusted Partnerships

Clearpoint Environmental helps property managers, communities, municipalities and commercial owners inspect, maintain and improve ponds, stormwater systems, wetlands and shorelines throughout Delaware and the Delmarva Peninsula.

First site visit is free on any stormwater facility in Sussex, Kent, Worcester, Wicomico or Dorchester county.

Why we exist

One pond. Two sets of expectations.

Most of the water on a Delmarva property is doing a job it was permitted to do. It is also the first thing anyone sees. Those two facts are usually handled by two different contractors who never speak to each other.

To the regulator

It's a stormwater management facility.

There's a maintenance agreement recorded against the common area. There's an inspection schedule. The forebay is supposed to hold sediment, the riser is supposed to pass a design storm, and someone is supposed to be able to produce a report that says so.

To your residents

It's the view from the clubhouse.

And right now it's green, it smells in August, the bank is sliding into lot 42, the fountain has been off since June, and three people are going to bring it up at the annual meeting.

Aquatic companies handle the second one. Compliance firms handle the first. We were built to handle both: one partner, clear recommendations, documented results.

What we do

Six service lines. One accountable partner.

From routine pond care and water-quality management to inspections, infrastructure repairs and long-term capital planning. Buy any of it once, or roll it into an annual program with scheduled visits and documentation formatted for whoever asks to see it.

All services

Stormwater Management & BMP Maintenance

The permanent facility after the builder leaves — inspected, documented, corrected and kept in the condition the recorded agreement says it should be in.

  • Annual and triennial BMP inspection with photo-documented reports
  • Sediment forebay cleanout and accumulated-sediment surveys
  • Riser, trash rack, low-flow orifice and outfall repair
  • Pond retrofits and Notice of Violation response

Ecosystem Management

A whole-system approach — water, soil, plants and the structures around them managed together, so the system holds its balance over the long term instead of being treated every time it turns green.

  • Harmful algal bloom and filamentous algae programs
  • Hydrilla, duckweed, phragmites and cattail control
  • Bathymetric (depth) surveys before anyone quotes you a dredge
  • Beneficial bacteria, muck reduction and fisheries habitat

Aeration & Water Quality

Fountains are aesthetic. Diffused aeration is what keeps oxygen at the bottom where the fish kill starts. We size, install and service both — and tell you which one you need.

  • Diffused bottom aeration design, install and seasonal service
  • Decorative fountains, lighting and controller repair
  • Dissolved oxygen, nutrient and clarity monitoring
  • Winter shutdown, spring startup, compressor rebuilds

Erosion & Sediment Control

Construction-phase erosion and sediment control built to pass first review, and permanent shoreline work that stops the bank from moving into somebody's back yard.

  • E&S plan implementation and construction-phase inspection
  • Shoreline stabilization, riprap, bioengineering, living shorelines
  • Streambank and outfall channel repair
  • Slope stabilization, matting and permanent seeding

Ecological & Natural Resource Solutions

Conservation landscape design, native planting and habitat restoration — turning disturbed land, coastline and open space into something that functions ecologically, satisfies the reviewer, and largely maintains itself.

  • Conservation landscape design and local-ecotype native planting
  • Vegetated buffers, aquatic bench planting, no-mow conversions
  • Wetland, shoreline and habitat restoration
  • Invasive species management and long-term stewardship plans

Environmental Consulting Services

The advice and the paperwork — due diligence, permitting, restoration planning and the certifications that release a bond or close a transaction on schedule. Certified Arborists are on staff, so the trees get looked at by someone qualified to sign for them.

  • Phase I and II environmental site assessments — the reports a lender or buyer asks for
  • Wetland delineation, jurisdictional determinations and permit support
  • Tree assessment and arborist reports — Certified Arborists on staff
  • Restoration planning, as-built certification, O&M manuals and bond release

Who we serve

Four kinds of owner. One method.

Different budgets, different deadlines, different words for the same body of water. Find yours.

01

Communities, boards & property managers

"The county sent us a letter about the pond and nobody here knows what it means."

One vendor from inspection to report to repair, across one pond or a whole portfolio — flat annual programs, board-ready documentation for the minutes, and reports formatted the way the reviewing agency wants them. Notice of Violation response included, plus a straight answer about what is actually required versus what somebody is trying to sell you. In Sussex County we'll write your CCAP cost-share application too — up to 75% reimbursement, subject to funding and eligibility.

02

Residential & private property

"I bought the house and I can't see the shoreline for the phragmites. Do I have options?"

Usually, yes. We assess the site first, then build an integrated management plan around what we find — targeted, aquatic-safe herbicide application, mechanical removal of the dead biomass, and a follow-up schedule so it doesn't march straight back. The point is getting your shoreline usable and worth looking at again.

03

Developers & site contractors

"We need this signed off so the bond gets released and we can turn it over."

Erosion and sediment control built to pass first review, as-built certification packages we see through the reviewer's comments, and a clean HOA turnover — including the first two years of maintenance, so the community inherits something that works.

04

Municipalities & institutions

"We have thirty facilities, an MS4 stormwater permit and no idea which ones are failing."

Facility inventories, condition assessments and prioritized capital plans with defensible data — plus the field crews to actually execute the fixes once the budget lands.

More on who we work for

Know what you owe

The obligations that don’t go away.

Most stormwater problems on Delmarva aren’t engineering failures. They’re calendar failures — a recurring requirement nobody was told they inherited.

  • A recorded maintenance agreement in Sussex County that binds every subsequent owner
  • Maryland’s preventive-maintenance inspection, first year then every three years
  • Construction permit coverage and erosion control while a site is open
  • Routine seasonal maintenance to the district’s own checklists
  • Six things that changed in 2026, including new standard details and computation rules

How we work

Assess. Report. Correct. Maintain.

Whether it's phragmites along a coastline or five ponds across a community, it's the same four steps. Size and type of project don't change how we work.

Site assessment

We walk the facility with the approved plan and the recorded agreement in hand — not just the pond, but the inlets, the structure, the embankment and the buffer.

Written findings

Photo-documented condition report with each deficiency tied to the standard it fails, priced and prioritized. Written to be handed to a board, a lender or a reviewer without translation.

Corrective work

Forebay cleanouts, structure repair, shoreline stabilization, plantings, treatment. Scheduled around your residents and your tenants, not around our route.

Annual program

Scheduled visits, seasonal treatment, and an inspection record that already exists the day somebody asks to see it.

By the numbers

Four figures behind the problem.

Why Clearpoint

New company. Not new to this water.

Clearpoint was formed to do one thing properly on one peninsula. We're not a national brand with a Delmarva outpost, and we're not a landscaper who bought a spray tank.

AC Plant & Turf

Independent expertise. A shared commitment to the environment.

Built on the experience and values behind AC Plant & Turf (opens in a new tab).

  • More than twenty years in the field. Our experienced staff have spent over two decades assessing water, soil and structures on this peninsula. You get a diagnosis from people who have seen the failure before and know which fix actually holds — not a quote off a template.
  • We only work here.Sussex, Kent, Worcester, Wicomico and Dorchester. Our crews are an hour from your site, not four.
  • You get paper, every time.Photo-documented reports written against the standard being applied — the thing that makes a board meeting short and an audit boring.
  • We'll talk you out of the expensive one.If a forebay cleanout solves it, we're not quoting a dredge. If aeration fixes the algae, we're not selling you a chemical contract.
  • Current, deliberately. The rules changed twice this year. Tracking that is part of the service, not an upsell.
