About Clearpoint
New company. Not new to this water.
Clearpoint Environmental was formed to do one thing properly on one peninsula: look after the stormwater facilities, ponds and shorelines that Delmarva's growth left behind.
Why we exist
Sussex County added more than 13,000 homes in five years. Every one of those subdivisions has a recorded maintenance agreement and at least one stormwater facility, and most of them were handed to a volunteer board with no explanation of what they had been given.
Meanwhile the category splits the problem three ways. Aquatic firms sell the appearance of the water. Compliance firms sell the fear of the letter. Consultants sell the permit. A community pond is all three problems at once, and nobody was treating it as one job.
What we bring to it
Our experienced staff have spent more than twenty years in the field assessing water, soil and structures on this peninsula. That is the part that matters when a board asks what is actually wrong with their pond: you get a diagnosis from people who have seen the failure before and know which fix holds, rather than a quote off a template. We also have Certified Arborists on staff, so questions about the trees on an embankment get answered by someone qualified to sign for the answer.
Built on AC Plant & Turf
Clearpoint Environmental is its own company, with its own crews and its own focus: water, stormwater and the land around it. It is built on the experience and values behind AC Plant & Turf (opens in a new tab), which cares for plants, trees and turf across Delmarva from Lewes and Selbyville.
How we work
Whether it's phragmites along a coastline or five ponds across a community, it's the same four steps: assess the site against the approved plan, report in writing with photographs, correct what needs correcting, then keep it on a schedule. Size and type of project don't change the method.
What you can expect us to say
- If a forebay cleanout solves it, we are not quoting a dredge.
- If aeration fixes the oxygen problem, we are not selling a treatment contract.
- If something is not actually required, we will tell you that, even when somebody else has told you it is.
- If we are not the right firm for a job, we will say so rather than learn on it.
The rules changed more than once this year. Tracking that is part of the service, not an upsell.

Tell us what the water is doing.
The first site visit is free on any stormwater facility in Sussex, Kent, Worcester, Wicomico or Dorchester county. You get a walkthrough and a straight answer about what is actually required.
